Who Am I?
Growing up with nerve damage in my shoulder, I’ve had many barriers to overcome on my own fitness journey. There were many things that doctors told me I wouldn’t be able to do, but with hard work and determination, I assisted myself on my way to overcome the adversity. This allowed me to compete competitively throughout my athletics career, and now I bring that work ethic and determination to my clients.
Now I practice what I preach. In my spare time, I love weightlifting, playing hockey, baseball, and enjoying the outdoors with my dog Pier (he photobombed me here).
My Philosophy:
My goal is to help each client of mine achieve their health and fitness goals, no matter how big or small. I believe that regardless of your age, gender, size, physical condition, health, or access to a gym or equipment, you can achieve remarkable health, fitness, and mobility goals.
I work with my clients to promote weight loss, improve functional strength, improve mindset, build motivation, and help overcome obstacles. If you have physical limitations and injuries, I will work with your limitations, not around them, so that you can improve your function and quality of life.
Certifications:
I graduated from Fitness & Health Promotion at Georgian College and with a bachelor’s of Kinesiology from the University of Guelph-Humber . As a certified personal trainer, I bring the latest evidence-based knowledge to my clients.
My training approach is client-focused with an additional emphasis on corrective exercise and education. I’m passionate about providing not only training programs but building healthy habits that will stick, allowing my clients to maintain their success long after we stop working together.
